Gezhi Town stars Xiao Zhan, Peng Yuchang, Zhou Yiran, among others. It tells the story of machinery factory worker Mo Dexian. To lead his family to escape the ravages of war, he takes refuge in a small mountain town called Gezhi, along with air defence officer Xiao Yan and his remaining subordinates, who have lost contact with their main regiment. When a Japanese reconnaissance unit suddenly appears, they must pool their ingenuity to resist the armed forces and protect their home together.

Participants can make their own commemorative pendants commemorate the victory of the War of Resistance. Hanging these on personal items serves as a constant reminder for everyone to cherish the importance of peace.

Directed by Chinese geophysicist and filmmaker Fang Li, who travelled the globe to gather historical materials and interview relevant individuals, The Sinking of the Lisbon Maru reconstructs the heroic wartime story of a group of Chinese fishermen, who braved gunfire to rescue British prisoners of war after a Japanese cargo ship carrying them was sunk by American forces.

Workshop : Anti-Japanese War Commemorative Lantern Making

Venue: Redoubt Main Lobby
Coinciding with the approaching Mid-Autumn Festival, participants can make festive lanterns and write blessing phrases related to the victory of the War of Resistance at the bottom of the lanterns, allowing everyone to commemorate the history of the victory and the contributions of our predecessors in defending the homeland.
