Dr David Yip, the artist of the small painting exhibition entitled " Illusory War- Ridden Life", is a lecturer of the Open University of Hong Kong. He was born in 1937 before the outbreak of the Second Sino-Japanese War, and had a bitter childhood experience during the three years and eight months of Japanese Occupation. The title "Illusory War – Ridden Life" echoes his comprehension and retrospection of war, and his anticipation.
