2015 marks the 70th anniversary of the Chinese people's victory in the War of Resistance against Japan. From the outset of the Japanese invasion, triggered by the Mukden Incident of 18 September 1931, to the launch of China's full-scale resistance against Japan after the Marco Polo Bridge Incident of 7 July 1937, China was made the main Eastern battlefield of the World Anti-fascist War. After the tough fourteen years' war of resistance, China eventually emerged victorious. The display of valuable historical photographs in this exhibition sheds light on the progress of the war and China's contributions to this Anti-Fascist War. We hope that the exhibition will deepen the public's understanding of this important chapter in modern Chinese history, so that we can all appreciate and value the courage and nobility of the many unsung heroes who battled undaunted to protect our motherland and our people.
