Flag Raising Ceremony and Drill Performance on the National Day 2025
The Hong Kong Museum of the War of Resistance and Coastal Defence, the Hong Kong Adventure Corps, the Hong Kong Sea Cadet Corps and the Hong Kong Air Cadet Corps jointly presented the "National Day Flag Raising Ceremony and Drill Performance” on 1st October 2025 (Wednesday). This event aims to celebrate the National Day, enhancing the public’s national identity and their understanding of the team spirit and discipline of youth uniform organisations.
The flag-raising ceremony was officiated by the Deputy Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ms Winnie Tse; the Assistant Director of Leisure and Cultural Services (Heritage & Museums), Mr NG Chi Wo; the Assistant District Officer of the Eastern District, Mr FU Yiu Nam; Deputy Commandant (Operations and Training) of the Hong Kong Adventure Corps, Lieutenant Colonel Ricky Kwong; Deputy Commanding Officer of the Hong Kong Sea Cadet Corps, Commander YIP Sui-pong; Deputy Commanding Officer (Training) of the Hong Kong Air Cadet Corps, Wing Commander Roger Kwong and the Head of the Chinese Culture Promotion Office, Mr Terence Cheung.
Young cadets of the uniformed groups conducting the flag-raising ceremony, to celebrate the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.

The young cadets displayed a special banner commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory in the War of Resistance during their drill performance, marking the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
